To start using Friday Pay, simply navigate to the Transactions tab of the app and select <Make a payment>. A panel with instructions about the next steps will appear next to help guide you. Please note that only the “Owner” of your workspace (find out about our roles & permissions here) can open an account for your business.

Next, select <Start Verification> to begin the verification flow.

First, you will be asked to provide some information about your business in the onboarding form. Please see the list of required documents to learn what information you will need to onboard your business.

Verify your identity via mobile phone

After finishing the onboarding process, you will receive an SMS with a link that leads you to the identification process. The legal representative who is setting up the account is required to go through the identity verification via your mobile device (the ID document needs to match the person who is going through the process). This process is required to secure your accounts and prevent fraud. We verify your identity and link the ID to your phone. You need to confirm this action via your 6 digit PIN code on your phone (alternatively your FaceID or TouchID) to ensure it's really you every time you confirm payments or carry out other sensitive operations.

You are asked to renew your ID verification in the following cases:

  • When some time has passed since your initial ID verification

  • You want to change your mobile phone number

You will receive a link via SMS which will direct you to start the personal verification process on your mobile phone. Please have a valid ID document ready. Note that driver’s licenses are not accepted. You are guided through a process that requires you to take a video of yourself, then scan your ID from different angles.

Tips for successful verification

  • Ensure good lighting

  • Check for a stable internet connection

  • Make sure you a valid ID ready (see required documents)

  • Your name on the ID needs to be the same as you specified in the onboarding

  • Place your document on a dark background

Congratulations, you’re done! You will receive a notification via SMS within a few hours if the verification was successful. Note that this notification only refers to the mobile identification verification process – in some cases, Swan will request additional documents via your provided email. After submitting these documents, it may take up to one week before you can start using Friday Pay. We'll inform you about the current status on your Friday Finance dashboard and via email.

To use your account upon successful verification, you first need to top up your account.
